I started this blog in order to start a conversation regarding Black people and the use of technology. In my observations over the past ten years it seems that we as Black people are always lagging behind others when it comes to adopting technologies that can make our lives better. Although I am aware for some of the historical reasons for this I am interested in the conversation focusing on gaining a better understanding and promote ideas for improving this situation. Technology permeates all aspects of our lives and we need to be become proficient at its use like all other groups in American society. I do not claim to have all of the answers but I do feel that as a result of a wide and far reaching conversation we can bring about change in this area.
